Beat the Box Pádel
Play with different partners, earn your place in the finals and compete to win your box. Beat the Box combines the partner rotation of Americano with groups that change based on results.
Our Beat the Box generator supports 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 players. Everyone plays six matches across two stages, with no resting rounds.
What is Beat the Box?
A box is a group of four players sharing one padel court. Within your box, you play three matches, partnering each of the other players once.
Your qualification results decide which box you enter for the finals. You then play three more matches against players who achieved similar results.
The rules below describe the two-stage format used by our generator.
How to play Beat the Box
Stage 1: Qualification
Players are randomly divided into boxes of four. Each box plays its own three-match Americano.
- Partners change after every match.
- Each player earns their team’s points.
- Everyone receives an individual ranking within their box.
Stage 2: Finals
The generator creates new boxes based on qualification results. Your position within your original box comes first; points then separate players with the same position.
The highest final box, Box A, contains:
- 8 players: the top two from each box.
- 12 players: three box winners and the best runner-up.
- 16 players: all four box winners.
- 20 or 24 players: the four best box winners.
The remaining players fill Boxes B, C and onwards using the same ranking rules.
Everyone plays another three matches. Qualification points do not carry over.
How does scoring work?
Choose 16, 24 or 32 total points per match. Every rally won earns one point.
For example, a 24-point match finishing 15–9 gives each player on the winning team 15 points and each opponent 9 points.
Prefer playing on time? Select Custom, agree a match duration and enter both scores manually.
Equal points are separated by point difference, then wins. Any remaining tie uses the random draw saved at the start.
Who wins Beat the Box?
The player with the most final-stage points in Box A wins the tournament.
Box A determines places 1–4, Box B places 5–8, and so on. Everyone plays for a final position, with nobody eliminated.
